Stabilized isoamyl nitrite (SIAN) is a novel intranasal therapy in development for cyanide poisoning. In this phase 1, first-in-human study conducted at U.S. sites including AMR Clinical locations, SIAN was well tolerated across ascending doses. Peak plasma levels and pharmacodynamic responses occurred within minutes of administration. These results support further clinical investigation of SIAN as a potential emergency antidote.
